Phoenix found another tying goal seven minutes into the second period when Patrick O'Sullivan hit Torres with a home run pass from deep in the defense zone all the way to the offensive blue line and the big forward broke in on goal and slid it through the five-hole of Quick to make it 2-2.

Joe Pavelski and Jamie McGinn both had goals for the Sharks, who had a four- game winning streak broken. Antti Niemi was touched for all three goals on 23 shots.

 

San Jose tied the game in the final minute of the opening frame when Joe Thornton threw a shot on net from the top of the left circle that was stopped, but Pavelski was in front to wrap in the rebound with 26.5 seconds showing.
